Our Founder & CEO
Forged in construction.
Built for intelligence.
Charles R. DeJournett is the Founder and CEO of RMPAC AI, an artificial intelligence platform transforming how construction professionals approach preconstruction, estimating, and project planning. With more than 25 years of leadership spanning commercial, federal, and military construction, Charles has built a career at the intersection of construction operations, executive leadership, and innovation. A retired United States Air Force veteran with over two decades of honorable service, he has led multimillion-dollar construction programs, developed federal contracting strategies, and directed complex projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), NAVFAC, FEMA, the Department of Homeland Security, and multiple branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. His experience extends far beyond estimating—covering every stage of the construction lifecycle, from concept development and budgeting through procurement, project execution, and successful delivery.
Throughout his executive career, Charles recognized a persistent challenge shared by contractors of every size: the preconstruction process had become increasingly complex while relying on outdated workflows. Estimators spent countless hours reviewing thousands of pages of drawings and specifications, manually producing quantity takeoffs, coordinating subcontractor pricing, and building proposals under aggressive deadlines. Despite advances in construction technology, the industry's most critical decisions were still dependent on disconnected software, repetitive manual effort, and institutional knowledge that was difficult to scale. Having personally led estimating teams, negotiated contracts, and overseen projects exceeding $60 million, Charles understood these challenges not as a software developer looking into construction—but as a construction executive living them every day.
That firsthand experience became the catalyst for creating RMPAC AI. Charles founded the company with a singular vision: to build the first truly intelligent preconstruction platform designed by construction professionals, for construction professionals. Rather than replacing experienced estimators, RMPAC AI augments their expertise by leveraging artificial intelligence to automate labor-intensive tasks including plan and specification analysis, quantity takeoffs, bill of materials generation, subcontractor scope identification, specification review, submittal preparation, RFI development, proposal generation, and construction document intelligence. By combining AI with decades of real-world construction knowledge, the platform enables contractors to estimate faster, reduce costly mistakes, improve bid accuracy, and make better decisions before construction ever begins.
Charles' leadership philosophy is grounded in service, discipline, and continuous innovation—values forged during his military career and strengthened throughout decades of executive construction leadership. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University, combining business strategy with deep technical construction expertise.
Today, Charles is leading RMPAC AI with a mission that extends beyond software. He believes artificial intelligence will fundamentally reshape the construction industry by empowering people—not replacing them. His vision is to create the industry's most comprehensive AI-driven construction intelligence ecosystem: one that seamlessly connects owners, architects, engineers, estimators, project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors through intelligent automation. Under his leadership, RMPAC AI is redefining preconstruction by giving contractors the speed, accuracy, and insights they need to compete in an increasingly demanding marketplace while preserving the practical expertise that has always been the foundation of great builders.
For Charles, RMPAC AI is more than a technology company—it is the culmination of a lifetime spent solving construction's toughest challenges. Every feature, every workflow, and every innovation is rooted in the belief that the future of construction belongs to professionals equipped with intelligent tools that help them build smarter, faster, and with greater confidence.
